Intermediate Band Performance

On Thursday 17th November the Intermediate Band performed at Bairnsdale Primary School (754) and Lucknow Primary School. This was the first time this ensemble has performed outside the school and they were brilliant. The program included some interesting concert band pieces, a few old favourites and ended with a rousing rendition of Rock around the Clock. As well as whole band items, different instruments were demonstrated by individuals and groups. It was fantastic to see all the band members work collaboratively to pack equipment and set up for the concerts. A huge congratulations to all band members for their magnificent work.

Music Auditions

Both James and Callum have been called back for a second round of auditions at the College of the Arts (Melbourne University). The auditions were completed via Webex. We wish James and Callum all the best.

Accelerando Program

This year James has been involved with the Accelerando program run by the Melbourne Recital Centre. His final recital is on Saturday December 3rd at the Recital Centre. He will be joined by James Newman, Callum, Aleka and Patrick who have all been rehearsing in preparation. James will be one of eight items in the concert. The concert starts at 6:30 pm and is free. Anyone interested can book on the Recital Centre website.

Music Tour Up-Date

Music Tour takes off this Monday. 35 students will be travelling around South Gippsland performing in nine different concerts.

Re-enrolment

Reenrolment forms are due now. We need families to return these forms to make forward planning easier. Students already in the program will have received a form with their book list. Any current BSC students not already in the program but who wish to join should also fill out an enrolment form. Enrolment forms can be obtained in the music centre.
