Return to Nature

The analogue photography unit ‘Return to Nature’, has come to a celebratory end for the Year 10 elective, Photography and Film.

The silver gelatin photographs which were taken at the Monash Gallery of Art and Jells Park, on the dreary day on Wednesday 24th of August in term 3, have turned out amazing despite the weather.

We are fortunate to have a darkroom at the College. Whereby, students developed their film and printed their photos in the dark room.

Years 7 and 8 VCD students have been learning to use Adobe Illustrator.  They worked with a design brief called "Mini-Me" working through the design process including refinement then produced a digital Mini-Me. Here are some of the completed design works.

"I really liked it because we could be very creative and show ourselves in a unique design piece. I learnt how to use lots of tools on Adobe including texture, colour & tone."

"We were able to express ourselves through the design process based on a teenage girl"

"It was an overall fun experience, especially learning how to use Adobe Illustrator.  I enjoyed creating my mini-me as I was able to express myself in the design"
