Wow , what an afternoon we had last Friday!
It was an amazing sight to see all the colour. The children really enjoyed the experience of getting messy, including the teachers!!
It was so good to see everyone laughing and having fun after all the happenings of the last two years. Hopefully, moving forward, we will have many more enjoyable experiences like this one in the months ahead.
Congratulations to Kade Witney who competed in the State Athletic Championships in Melbourne last week. Kade came 5th in the Boys 11year old 200 metre event. It was an amazing effort to reach the finals and achieve such a great result.
Every term I receive an update from the Barwon Region with a list of the students with the highest absence data in our school. At the end of the year I receive an additional list with students they consider are "At Risk" of disengagement. I am aware, like all Principals and the region, that the last couple of years have been difficult with COVID, flu and a variety of sicknesses.
Despite this, we do have a couple of students with a high number of absences. Please be aware that the region may contact you for additional information to ensure your child is receiving the maximum exposure to learning opportunities.
Parents have done an amazing job on getting their child/children to school on time so they can receive instruction as soon as the bell goes. This is really important, as it sets the tone for the day and ensures that each child fully understands what is involved in the first educational activity of the day. Great work parents.
We have has two major fundraising efforts this year which will allow us to purchase some new resources and furniture for our grounds for both Rollins and the Batesford Campus.
The money raised from the concert is going towards synthetic turf at both campuses under the new shade sails, cubby houses, outdoor beanbags and outdoor seating.
The money raised from the Color Run is going towards upgrading the basket ball court and the construction of retaining walls.
The money raised from the sale of icy poles during the year goes towards maintaining our grounds (mowing and maintenance) and the beatification of our grounds.
Thank you to everyone for contributing to our fundraising efforts. Please see the below amazing standout fundraising champions!
