BEING SENT OUT

As we end our school term celebrating our community on Sacred Heart Day, we are reminded that Euphraise Barbier’s vision was for a religious order that was always on mission. She saw this as a reflection of what God does through the Trinity - constantly inviting us into deeper relationships with each other and the divine. Out of that experience, we bring love and healing to others in whatever circumstances we find ourselves.

Whilst our Feast Day is one of joy and celebration, the Eucharist reminds us that we, like our beloved sisters, are being sent out to make a difference - to literally be the voice and action of Jesus.

Over the holidays, the final session of the Plenary Council is being held, supported by this same idea. This is a unique, once-in-a-lifetime event that gathers clergy and people from all over Australia to discuss how the Church can speak more clearly to those within and outside its walls and act in ways more consistent with its mission. You can read about their ideas here:

Thank you to all the staff and students who have attended Ministry events this term, Retreat days, completed Christian Service, and attended or helped at masses. These events are the cornerstone of our Spiritual life and are deeply valued.

Heading into our winter break, I wish everybody a relaxing and refreshing holiday, wishing you moments of peace and reflection.
