Kitchen Garden 

Junior School Kitchen and Garden

The Foundation students were hard at work this week planting potatoes.  They helped prepare the soil in big blue tubs for the potatoes to grow in.  Foundation students have also planted a variety of beans seeds.  Hopefully they aren’t magic beans like in Jack and the Beanstalk!  

There were also some excited faces to see the broccoli heads appear.  We planted the broccoli back in Term 2. 

In the kitchen, the 1/2s are cooking apple turnovers in the coming weeks using apples that were picked from our school apples trees at the beginning of the year.  Keep an eye out for our recipe.

Senior School Kitchen Garden 

The senior students have been hard at work in the garden, tending to mulching and weeding needs, watering plants/vegetables and fruits and collecting any rubbish that is floating around the school yards! In week 2 we made a delicious Lentil Bolognese that the students enjoyed. See some pictures of the students hard at work in the garden below.
