The girls competed in the School Sports Victoria Championships at the Melbourne Sports & Aquatic Centre.

Intermediate Girls Badminton - State Final

After the success of the Hume Region badminton where the team lost only a single match, the State Championships were quite a challenge for the Intermediate Girls badminton team. On the 10th August, they travelled to the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre. The arrived at a very cold stadium excited and a little apprehensive. Their draw pool included the top two state teams, East Doncaster and Maribyrnong Secondary College! The girls played very well - making good calls, showing great sportsmanship and playing some amazing shots. The highlight of the day was winning a doubles match against East Doncaster – who were the eventual State Champions. Well done to the team – Stephanie Ludlow, Lucy Ludlow, Abbie Doherty-Reeve and Regan Hunt.

Congratulations to the Senior Girls soccer team on taking out the Hume Region title and defeating Wodonga Senior Secondary College (9-0). They will be heading to the School Sport Victoria Championships on August 30th! The Year 8 boys team won their first two games against St Mary’s of the Angels, Nathalia (8-0) and Beechworth College (6-0) before playing to a draw in their final match against Wodonga Secondary College (1-1). Unfortunately, they missed out on the title due to a count back. Fantastic effort from both teams!
