2023 Year 11 

Information Evening

The Year 11 2023 Information Sessions were held on Thursday 28th July. Students and their parents attended the sessions to hear about the course options available to Year 11 students. 

Elyse Ganly, Leading Teaching of VCE curriculum, assessment and reporting and Jamie Calleja-Bailey, Leading Teacher of VCE VM and VPC curriculum, assessment and reporting, outlined the key information about a traditional scored VCE, the new VCE Vocational Major, VET subject and the Victorian Pathways Certificate. Josie Mineo and Glen Stewart explained the process for Year 10 students to make their course selections for 2023. 

Subject teachers and student volunteers prepared engaging displays to showcase the range of subjects offered at Tarneit Senior College for VCE. The teachers and students were also available to discuss their subject areas and answer any questions that parents and students had regarding specific subjects. The sessions provided students with valuable information in order to make fully informed decisions about their final two years of schooling. Year 10 students attended Course Counselling meetings on Thursday 4th August to finalise their subject choices.

A big thank-you to all of the staff who stayed late to meet with our TSC families and the hard work of staff in preparing the displays. The student volunteers should also be acknowledged for providing their peers with insights into why they enjoy their VCE subjects.
