From the College Captains

Hi MGC, we are your College Captains, Monique Selcuk, Jade Nebbs and Hannah Benhassine and we just wanted to congratulate all MGC students for their consistent feedback on MGC’s transeasonal uniform policy throughout this year.

As the weather grows colder, we wanted to inform you on a few ways you can keep warm this winter.

Such as:

  • Wearing a thermal or long-sleeved shirt under your school shirt (ensure this is unable to be seen).
  • Wearing two pairs of tights.
  • Wearing your MGC jumper.
  • Wearing your MGC blazer as your outer layer.
  • Wearing a navy-blue scarf.

Here are a few statements from your fellow students, on how they have been keeping warm this winter:

  • ‘I wear a long-sleeved shirt under my shirt to keep me warm’. - Year 12 Student.
  • ‘I wear a pair of tights with a Winter skirt, and that way, I can keep warm. -Year 9 Student.
  • ‘The MGC scarf is really helpful when trying to keep warm as well. I notice that by wearing a scarf and covering my neck, I stay much warmer’. - Year 12 Student.

Overall, it has been great to see the majority of you wearing the uniform correctly, however, we must ensure that as a community, we do the right thing, as having the transeasonal uniform policy is a privilege that we, as students, are lucky enough to have.

Also, we are on the lookout for students in all Year levels, who have been wearing their uniform correctly to win a few prizes. Listen out for our weekly announcements!

Thank you everyone,

From Monique Selcuk, Jade Nebbs and Hannah Benhassine.
