Class of 2021
The Year 12 Class of 2021 Returned to MGC
It is always a thrill when our past students return as happened at the end of last term when the Year 12 Class of 2021 returned to MGC. The students of 2021 did not have an easy time being mostly locked down for their whole VCE. After the lockdown, they were the first students to return to face-to-face learning but without many of the rites of passage usually reserved for the end of Yr 12. However, we did bring them on site when we thought we could, and teachers and students were able to connect and hear about the plethora of pathways our students are on post-MGC. “Do you miss school?” we asked them and invariably the answer was sometimes. One student suggested there was no other time when you have so much time with your friends. I know that this year’s Year 12s know that time is running out at school and this makes them appreciate this time, together with friends and teachers, even more.
At a separate event, we were also able to celebrate two of our students who have graduated from the Koorie Academy of Excellence. Congratulations Maia Odgers and Alexandra Coates.
