In Mindfulness, we focused on the topic of Attention.

This week we completed a meditation where students were able to practice their control of their attention by focusing on their breathing and the rise and fall of their belly.

In Resilience, Rights and Respectful Relationships the Year 1s are focusing on the topic of Positive Coping. 

In Year 1, we explored different music types and spoke about the impact that music can have on our mood. We spoke about times that we might need to use positive coping strategies to cheer ourselves up or calm ourselves down. Our Year 1s also suggested strategies for positive coping such as mindfulness, colouring, reading and spending time outside.
