Dear Parents and Carers,

We are now well and truly in the planning phase for 2023 and as such it is important that we have a true and accurate indication of our student numbers for next year.  If you have neighbours or friends looking to enrol a student in 2023 please encourage them to contact us ASAP to organise enrolment forms.

If you are one of our existing families and relocating at the end of the year or leaving us for other reasons, please let us know as soon as possible.

Last week our Year 6 students  received their Secondary School Placement offers. This is a very exciting time for our graduating students.

As parents and carers you can help to ease any worries your child has about starting secondary school by preparing your child in the months and weeks before term begins.

Practical issues

Here are ideas for practical preparations:

  • Make sure your child goes to their secondary school transition and orientation programs.
  • Involve your child in decision-making where possible. For example, you could discuss transport options to and from school.
  • Practise taking the route to secondary school together to build your child’s confidence about travelling independently.

Professional Practice Days for staff.

The Department of Education & Training has provided schools with the option to hold each teacher’s allocated professional practice day on the same day for all staff. In Term 3, this will be on Monday 22nd August. Please note a change to the original proposed date of Monday 15th August.

Kind regards,

Mandy O’Mara
