From the Principal

Bravo!

I am sure you will join me in congratulating all the cast, crew and staff of our recent musical, Matilda.  After twenty-nine years in schools, I have watched many shows and I am proud to declare this was simply one of the most enjoyable I have ever been privileged to watch. Everyone was invested, everyone thrived. Bravo and congratulations!

On another exciting front, on Tuesday 30 August, we will be holding a parent forum to discuss our decision to expand our College agricultural offerings and add Year 10 Agriculture and VCE Agricultural and Horticultural Science.  Our vision is to harness the local expertise and launch an agricultural program that offers challenge and builds networks and careers for our students. Next year, we will recruit an Agricultural Science teacher with proven experience and success to lead this aspirational program.

There is no doubt our parent community boasts an enormous wealth of agricultural knowledge, experience, and varying professions across the industry. We would love to capitalise on this expertise and insight, and I invite any interested parents or family members to join in this forum.

Parent Forum – Extending Agricultural Pathways at College

•              Tuesday 30 August, 2022

•              9 - 10am

•              Da Vinci Room (in the Middle Years Positive Education Centre (myPEC)

                via Macpherson St)

I hope that you can come along for a coffee and share your ideas.

I'm pleased to inform you that from Monday 15 August we will lift the mandatory wearing of masks indoors.  Students are welcome to wear them if they feel the need.

Finally, I would like to wish our Head of Junior School, Stephen Nelson every happiness as he commences Long Service Leave for the remainder of Term 3.   Stephen invests so much time, thought and creativity into Myrniong and he deserves our special thanks.  In his absence, Bernadette Milich will be leading the school as Acting Head of Junior School.
