Family Life Evening

It was wonderful to see the many families last night at our Family Life sessions.  These sessions were facilitated by an experienced and professional presenter who supported parents in entering into discussions with their own child/ren around topics covered. Feedback from the evening has been overwhelmingly positive.  If you couldn't make it last night but would still like more information please explore the Interrelate website.

Books on display last night can also be purchased from their website. These sessions are offered to our school community every 2 years.

NCCD

The NCCD is an annual collection of information about Australian school students with a disability. The NCCD enables schools, educational authorities, and governments to better understand the needs of students with a disability and how they can be best supported at school. The Learning Pit

Learning occurs when you step out of your comfort zone. And yet, many people are hesitant to take this step for fear of making mistakes or revealing their weaknesses.
That’s when the Learning Pit can help: to encourage and reassure learners that taking risks, asking questions, and trying new things can help them develop their abilities and deepen their understanding. - The Learning Pit, by James Nottingham

Wellbeing underpins all we do at St Joseph's. Fostering engaged, curious, empathetic, cooperative, respectful learners. Student's willingness to take risks with their learning is evident as you walk around our school.

Students feel safe and supported to make mistakes, learn from them, deepen their

understanding and become more self-confident and regulated learners and individuals.
