Hello everyone. In this Newsletter, I have included an article about how to make reading more enjoyable at home. The writer gives you 3 easy steps you can take, to make reading time at home, a fun and relaxing experience for everyone. This applies whether you are reading to your children, or they are reading to you. I hope you enjoy the article.
My next little piece is a comment made by the author, Kate DiCamillo. She made the comment during a book signing. It is her perspective on reading out loud to others, and I thought it was so lovely, and so profound, that I wanted to share it with as many people as possible.
The number one most important thing you can do, to improve your child's reading, no matter what age, is read to them. Read with passion. Use different voices for different characters. Be loud, be funny,be interested. Give your children the most precious thing of all … your time.
Happy reading
