Sacred Heart will be hosting an internationally acclaimed, “almost local” opera singer, Petah Cavallaro-Chapman & her accompanying musicians

Sunday 7th April at 7:30pm in the Parish Hall. Miss Chapman, has graciously included us in her regional tour with the aim to make this kind of performance

At an affordable price therefore making it available to those who would otherwise be unable to experience it.

International Classical Chamber Music Series Presents TRIO CAVALLARO

 

Come and be entranced by a night of some of opera's greatest works by Handel, Bellini, Weber, Terrega, Gragnani, and many more, along with instrumental music to charm your soul.

 

About the performers:

Born on the Atherton Tableland in Queensland, Petah Cavallaro-Chapman is an Italian-Australian soprano matured in conservatoriums, theatres and concert halls of the world. Known for her strong and agile lyric voice and superb characterisation, she is an award-winning soprano with performance experience both in Australia and Italy. 

Khalida De Ridder is an award-winning violinist also born on the Tablelands. She studied at the Royal Danish Academy of Music and Australian Institute of Music as well as privately in Paris with Guillaume Sutre and in Sydney with Charmain Gadd. She's performed solo recitals in The Netherlands, Italy, Ireland, Germany, Denmark and Australia. She is a musician of technical and emotional brilliance. 

To complete the lineup will be Danish guitarist Simon Thielke, a graduate of the Royal Danish Academy. Currently Simon studies at the Segovia Academy with Paolo Pegoraro in Italy. He is known for his silky sound, his uncompromising technical ability and deep musical understanding.

Together these three performers create an evening of musical brilliance you will remember for years to come.
