Uralla Central School Based Apprenticeships and Traineeships.

Last week saw Uralla Central School’s ninth student ‘sign-up’ for a school based apprenticeship/traineeship in the past 8 months. Ned Garrahy will be working with Wal Schalk at Wal Schalk Earthmoving P/L. He will be completing his Certificate II in Civil Engineering.  Ned will be required to complete 144 x 8 hour days on the job as part of his Cert II.

NAIDOC Celebrations.

Tuesday 10 September - NAIDOC Celebrations

  • 12.25pm - 1.25pm -  Kindergarten - Year 4 Cultural Performance
  • BBQ Lunch (sausage sizzle + fruit popper)
  • 2.15pm - 3.15pm - Years 5 - Academy - Live and Deadly Comedy Performance.
  • NAIDOC Assembly - Tuesday 17 September - 10.00am.

Cultural Performance and  Live and Deadly comedy performance by Sean Choolburrua.

The Performance is charismatic, vibrant and captivating, Sean fuses his engaging energy and humour with historical facts, spiritual wisdom, depth of ancestral understanding and knowledge; he is one very exciting and talented cultural ambassador. Dance – stories – painting – fire creation – didgeridoo playing: all are presented with a wonderful array of artefacts, from fishing nets to hunting shields.
