Pendles is a Seeing Eye Dog in training. This means he is learning to be a dog who will guide someone who is blind or low-vision. Pendles is an 8 week old Labrador/Golden Retriever cross who belongs to Vision Australia. He will be shadowing Miss Maddy for 6 months. During his first few months of life, it is important that Pendles gets lots of rich experiences and becomes well socialised. This will help him when he is supporting someone out in the big wide world. You may see Pendles on the streets around the school, so please feel free to wave. However as he is a working dog, please ensure that you and your child(ren) do not pat him as this could distract him from his training.
