Little Sky Gelateria
On Tuesday the 28th of March the year sixes went on an excursion to Little Sky Gelateria in Bay street Brighton. The mayor of Brighton (Hanna El Mouallem) dropped in for a quick visit. It was so much fun eating gelato whilst learning all about how gelato is made.
Max, the owner of Little Sky Gelateria went to I.C.I.F (International Culinary Institute for foreigners) in Italy to study the art of making gelato. He explained about the machines and how they work. He also talked a little about the history and how gelato dates back to the Roman era. Max also spoke about his experience in Italy and how he loved his time there.
All the year sixes loved it so much and they all got to try some delicious state of the art gelato. We walked to Little Sky at 9 in the morning and returned by lunch. Some parents got to come along as well and they loved it. It was an educational, enjoyable and exciting excursion.
