Inter-House Athletics Carnival

Sandringham Athletics Centre, Glamis Ave, Hampton.

IMPORTANT REMINDERS:

Year 3-6 students NEED TO BE AT SCHOOL BY 8.20AM (at the latest).

Senior (Year 3-6) buses will depart 8.40am SHARP, whilst our Prep - Year 2 students will depart near 9.30am.

All students: please encourage your child/ren to wear their House colours, sturdy runners, pre-applied sunscreen, bring House coloured streamers, banners, posters, pack their school hat, lots of lunch and snacks and a large filled water bottle (or 2).

*Spectators: We’d love to see as many parents attend & help cheer our students along over the day. All spectators (unless parent helpers with a Hi Vis vest on) need to remain outside the perimeter of the oval.  Thank you for your support.

A copy of both the Junior & Senior events schedule was emailed to all families yesterday.  Please refer to that to see what time events are run.

We look forward to a great day of participation, house-spirit and fun for all!

CROSS COUNTRY DATE SET!

Our Inter-House Cross Country date is set for week 1 of Term 2!  

Wednesday 26th April:  9.15am - 12pm.  

All Year 3-6 students will walk to Dendy Park lower ovals to participate in our Inter-House Cross Country event.

If you are able to assist with early morning course set-up with Tania, please email her with your availability.  Course marshals are also required over the morning to support our students running around the track.

Operoo information and a Parent helper sign up form link will go out to all Year 3-6 families next week.  THANK YOU.

YEAR 5&6 WINTER SPORT 

Begins: Friday 28th April - Week 1, Term 2. 

Next term all Year 5&6 students participate in our Dendy Winter Sport Inter-School Football and Netball competition.  Students will travel to other local schools and venues to play either netball or football over a number of Friday afternoons during term 2.   

Teams are almost finalised and students will be informed of their sport and teams next week. Please look out for an Operoo permission email with further information next week. 

PARENT HELP REQUEST:  weekly support for bus supervision & umpires: 

To assist with this program, we’d love the support from any parents/adults that are able to assist with either umpiring or support with travel on the bus.  A formal request document with dates will go out by the start of term 2.  However, please email your child’s teacher now if you are able to assist on any of the following dates:

Dates of Winter Sport:  

Friday: 28/4, 12/5, 19/5, 26/5, 2/6, 9/6.
