Division Swimming Championships

On Tuesday 14th of March, two of our Brunswick North West P.S students competed at the Inner North/Moreland Divisions Swimming Championships. Anouk in Grade 4 competed in the 50m backstroke event for the U10 girls and Mia in Grade 5 competed in both the 50m butterfly and 50m backstroke. From all reports, both girls competed with poise and determination in their races. Anouk managed to come in 4th in her backstroke race and Mia came 2nd in butterfly and 4th in backstroke. I would like to congratulate both girls on their excellent results. As Mia came 2nd in butterfly, this means she qualifies for the next stage, which is happening on the 30th of March. Good luck Mia!!

I would also like the extend my thanks to all those students who went out of their way to enter their swimming times, but did not qualify. Keep on working hard, next year may be your year!
