Middle Primary Years
Dear Endeavour Hills Specialist School community members,
We are excited to share what we have been doing together across Heath Place so far in Term 3. Throughout the term, our inquiry focus has been on our community. We started inquiry thinking about our community as the family we live with and have expanded outwards to our extended families, friends, school community and even further out to community services and places. Yesterdays visit from Alan and Chris from the Endeavour Hills Police station was a fantastic link to our inquiry. Thank you Alan and Chris for visiting Heath Place and our school!
Our work together in English has been connected to our inquiry focus as we support students to share what they know and what they are learning about as we investigate our community. Teachers in Heath Place have been doing lots of modelling of how to share about our families, friends and community together and supporting students to share.
We have enjoyed exploring measurement together. We have explored comparing and measuring length and height together our classrooms. It is always lots of fun to make maths practical and hands on together. Over the rest of term we will be continuing to investigate measurement as we ask "What holds more?", "Which is heavier?", "Which is lighter?".
Please keep an eye our your child's classroom Seesaw journal.
Teachers in Heath Place and across the school want to share more about what is happening in our classrooms. We will continue to post regularly and we want to make sure you can see all of the wonderful things that your children are doing at school every day. Please reach out to your child's teacher if you cannot log into Seesaw and we will help you ASAP.
Thank you to all of the students and families of Heath Place! It has been a fantastic Term 3 and we look forward to all of the achievements and celebrations to come in the rest of 2023!
Kind regards,
Aidan O'Connor
