Year 8 Camp

The Ranch

From the 1st-3rd March, the year 8 cohort attended the camp at ‘The Ranch’, Mornington Peninsula. The camp was designed to challenge and strengthen personal confidence, team building skills and promote positive social connectedness.

Whilst at camp, the students were offered a broad range of activities all designed to deliver powerful outcomes. Some of the student’s favourites included horse riding, the giant swing, the flying fox, the pamper pole and hut building. Over the three days, the camp enabled students to form strong relationships with their peers and our staff.

On the first night, the students went on an hour and a half night hike around the camp site where they were able to see the sunset. It was fantastic to see all the students enjoy themselves and for some, to overcome their fear of heights and build resilience.

I am so proud of how the students behaved themselves and worked together in their groups, to build memories that they will cherish for years to come.

A big thank you goes out to the following staff members who took time away from their families and classes to attend this camp and build a stronger relationship with the students.

  • Mr Gill-Atkinson
  • Mr Loffman
  • Mr Burrows
  • Ms White
  • Ms Borg
  • Ms Vibha
  • Ms Healey
  • Mrs Mesquita
  • Ryan & Linda

We hope all the students thoroughly enjoyed the camp as much as we did.
