The Reading Hour & other activit

We have had a busy first term in the library this year and it is wonderful to see how well it is being used.

Our daily chess club is a hit with the boys - we had to buy 5 more boards,

Craft Club with Ms Rivera has produced some amazing work (see below),

Reading sessions are running from Years 7 to 10 and

Year 7 Orientation sessions were a success.

Year 7 Library Orientation

Thank you to the Year 7 students for their active participation in Library Orientation.  A big thank you to Louise Krionas, our Library Technician who designed the program which had students scanning QR codes to find answers via a website she created.  You can have a look here if you would like more information about our library procedures.

Australian Reading Hour - March 9

Our library hosted the Australian Reading Hour with a quiet session of personal reading, Milo and biscuits.  It was a well-attended event that had staff and students spread across the library reading a variety of texts.

We hope some of our families were able to take a moment in the day to read as well.

International Women's Day

The library was proud to host this amazing day that was filled with a few tears, laughter, dance and sisterhood.  Thank you to the Wellbeing team for providing gift bags, videos and to Louise for her music selections.

Why does this day matter?

Because we’re not there yet.

IWD is a day to recognise how far we’ve come towards gender equality, and also how far we have left to go.
