GRADE 6 CAMP

On Wednesday 8th March, Grade 6 headed off to camp!

Arriving at Camp Golden Valleys was thrilling for everyone. We were pumped for activities, excited to hang out with our friends and to sleep in huge cabins.

We were introduced to the staff and learnt the rules we had to follow for the next three days.

The activities we completed were insanely fun! They included Giant Swing, Archery, Leap of Faith, Flying Fox, Obstacle Course and Rock Climbing.

The food was amazing, and I think everyone was more than satisfied with what they had. The best meal of the camp went to the chicken schnitzel, followed by a loaded chocolate brownie!

The cabins were comfortable, clean and, for some, hectic! Out campers, who spent both nights in tents were stand outs, putting up with wind, rain and a pretty tight space.

Our teachers were nothing short of amazing. It’s important that we thank Miss Newey, Mr Ware, Mr Hargreaves, Mrs Farmer, Miss Meyerowitz, Miss Greig, Di, Mrs Walker and Elsa Barton for giving up their time to take care of us 24/7 and also for providing us great entertainment by all braving the Leap of Faith!

On Friday 10th March, as we set off home we reflected on a Camp with so many memories, laughs, challenges met and friendships built upon.

Stay tuned for lots more to come on one of our key takeaways from camp – “Say What You See!”
