INTERACTIVE MEDIA & GAME

MR JEREMY WOOD - CURRICULUM LEADER ARTS

Students spent this term photographing everything from themselves, siblings, pets, objects, and even Barbie. Yes, Barbie. They had fun exploring the hidden world of media codes and discovered how the codes are the building blocks for each media product (film, TV, social media posts). When each product is broken down, they learned how each part contributes to the communication of ideas. Students had to then demonstrate they understood the three different kinds of codes (technical, symbols, written) and use these codes to demonstrate their knowledge and understanding in a practical photography and typesetting task; the pre and post-production of a poster to express both a positive and negative emotion. See if you can discern between the two emotions.
