VISUAL COMMUNICATION 3

MR JEREMY WOOD - CURRICULUM LEADER ARTS

Yes, this was quite a hectic term.  Nevertheless, Visual Communication students have once again made an indelible impression with their first folio. The course began with a study of all three design fields (environmental, industrial, and communication). The theme for the practical assessment was the design of a beachside café located at the Sign Post Lookout in Torquay, Victoria. Students then designed a chair for the café, a logo, signage and a coffee cup tray. Students agreed that they will never look at chairs the same way ever again, although, I did sense much relief and satisfaction with their final presentations. Which, by the way, were arguably the best I have seen in my time at St Mary MacKillop College. Well done Vis Commers. Enjoy the break.
