Stef Gemmill, Award Winning Author, kindly donates her time

Graphic Novel Workshop

On Thursday 27th July, we were lucky enough to have an award winning local author, Stef Gemmill, who wrote the children's books "In My Dreams", "Toy Mountain, and "A Home for Luna", kindly donated her time to the school library to run a lunch time workshop, 'creating your own graphic novel'.   We had some of our student graphic novel enthusiasts attend and get started on their very own novel.   This workshop will be held again next Thursday for the second half.

New Books

***************************************

We continuously have new books arriving at the library for you to read.

There are some really amazing books coming through in all different genres, so there is something for everyone.

Don’t forget, if you want to request a book for the library, to get in fill out the request sheet near the photocopier.

Congratulations to Zebe Humphreys in Year 8, Winsome McRae and Taitum Marsh from Year 9, who have completed all requirements for the challenge.

There are 39 days left for you to get your books read and logged into your challenge account!

The Challenge will end on the 8th September, so there is still plenty of time to get those books read and listed.

We have 283 Surf Coast Secondary College students registered so far which is an amazing effort!

Happy Reading!

Break Schedule

We have implemented a year level schedule for the Library at recess and lunch breaks.

This allows for all year levels to access the space in a more efficient and structured way for borrowing and activities.

There are opportunities for a Library pass, if you are a Library monitor and help in this space.
