Library

"Libraries store the energy that fuels the imagination. They open up windows to the world and inspire us to explore and achieve, and contribute to improving our quality of life."

-Sidney Sheldon

Welcome to Term 3!

Thank you to those who have returned or renewed their books after the break.

The most popular books loaned in the Brigidine College library are from the crime and mystery section. They say readers of this genre are analytical, intuitive and logical thinkers who are problem solvers. Would you agree?

Holly Jackson is a Young Adults (YA) author in this genre and her books barely make it to the shelf, as they are always loaned!

Holly Jackson started writing early and completed her first attempt at a novel at 15.

She studied literary linguistics and creative writing at the University of Nottingham and has a Master's in English.

She lives in London and enjoys playing video games and watching true-life crime documentaries so she can pretend to be a detective.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is her first book.

The Children’s Book Council of Australia will announce in August, the Book of the Year for older readers.

We have been adding these notable books to our library collection.
