Carline Procedures

Parents and carers are reminded of the following procedures to assist in ensuring the school carline service operates safely and efficiently.

  • Car signs need to clearly displayed and legible

  • Students need to be able to enter and leave the car unassisted

  • Students are not to walk  between cars and are to use the pedestrian crossing

  • Please refrain from opening car boots, particularly with large cars - school bags should be transported in the vehicle. When children walk between cars to access the boot you are putting them in danger every time.

  • There need to be two cars stationary before and after the pedestrian crossing when students enter or disembark from the car.

  • Pleasedo notuse mobile phones.  Please drive slowly and be attentive at all times. There are a large number of students using this service.

Parking

Parents are reminded that parking is NOT ALLOWED in the Caringbah Medical & Dental Centre. They are phoning our school regularly pleading with us to let our parents know that they CAN NOT park in the Medical Centre parking in Burns Lane.

This has become a serious issue for all of their clients with some of our parents parking in the disabled spots for their elderly patients. They are then forced to park over in Coles or walk across the road, which is not acceptable. The Centre has been recording number plates and forwarding this information to the school.

In addition, parents are reminded not to park on school premises (front office or rear staff car parks), when dropping and collecting students before or after school.

Playground Protocols

Please remember that dogs cannot come onto the school playground at any time. Also, a gentle reminder that no adult is to enter student toilets.

Science Week

2023 Theme: Innovation: Powering Future Industries

The Australian Government’s initiative ‘National Science Week’, officially begins on Saturday the 12th of August (Term 3, Week 5) and provides a great avenue to celebrate the endless opportunities of Science and Technology with our students.

Our school will celebrate this important week by participating in the many opportunities offered to schools. Photos and student work will be shared in the upcoming newsletter and on our Social Media platforms.

Family Mass this Saturday

You are kindly invited to attend the next Family Mass hosted by Year 3 families to be held this Saturday, 12th August at 5.30pm. As many of the Year 3 students will be preparing for the Sacrament of Holy Communion this is a great opportunity for them to share their faith commitment with the parish school community. Each Year 3 student will receive a special card as a keepsake. Volunteers from Years 2- 6 are invited to sing in the choir.

Please come along and join in this beautiful Parish celebration of the Eucharist and support our Year 3 families.
