Friendly Reminders
Please ensure you have downloaded the ‘SeeSaw’ and ‘Audiri’ application to keep up to date with all important information and your child's learning.
We will also continue to email fortnightly catch ups to all parents, as a way of communicating. Please know that our classroom is always open to all parents and visitors so please feel free to come in and say hello.
Timetable
Our general timetable will stay the same as Term 3.
Monday - Library
Tuesday - Sport
Wednesday - STEM and Art
Thursday - Performing Arts or Italian
Friday - PMP
Remember that all students are required to wear their sports uniforms on Tuesdays and Fridays.
Homework
Just a friendly reminder that we would like your child to continue reading for 10 minutes a night and practise their current and past Magic words. We have noticed that students are not retaining previous words learnt so we ask that as well as practising their new ones, you continue to go over past words. They will be tested on all 100, after they have worked their way through the individual levels. Please remember to record their reading in their journal and that the books your child takes home are meant to be easy for them. This is to build confidence and fluency. Your child’s reading is formally tested several times a term and this will inform the levels they take home, as well as the level they read within the classroom, which will be more difficult, as the teacher can scaffold them, have a specific focus and provide support for them. We suggest that you also read and discuss your child’s library book with them several times during the week, as comprehension is a focus during this term. Make sure you ask questions related to what is directly written but also about connections they can make between themselves and the text.
