Year 6 Radio Committee

This term in Radio Committee, our radio show producers are continuing to develop diverse and purposeful programming for the benefit of the GWPS school community. Through analysis of existing school radio programs at home and abroad, the learners will use their student voice to try out new show formats and take GWPS Broadcasting in new directions. With morning, recess and lunchtime music successfully reestablished in 2023, the learners will now take aim at publishing independently authored thematic chart show content that will inform, entertain and persuade a general audience, including topics such as ‘K-Pop’, ‘Classical Piano’ and ‘One-Hit Wonders’. Using the United Nations’ International Observances, hosts will highlight important cultural, social and historical issues through the observance of International Days. Radio Committee students will once again create a collaborative radio-play as voice actors, editors and producers.
