Grade 5 & 6 

During the week the students have been involved with the Little-scribes Writing workshops. The sessions involved the students engaged with Australian authors and illustrators via video links. Students wrote, illustrated, collaborated, created and developed characters, settings, story boards, editing skills, confidence and a love of writing. 

On Wednesday afternoon, grade 6 students had the privilege of spending some quality time with their 100 year old buddies. Yep, that's right, their 100 year old buddies! Superbly dressed, with walking sticks on hand, the prep students dressed as elderly centenarians to celebrate 100 days of education at SMJ. Free of back pain and achy joints, the 100 year old preps, with the assistance of their younger grade 6 buddies (not sure how that works?!), completed some activties to cap off a wonderful afternoon.
