Chaplain’s Chat

In my first Chaplain’s Chat for the year, I want to take the opportunity to thank the school community for your ongoing support of the chaplaincy program at Marlborough Primary School. This year will be my twelfth year as school chaplain at this school. Some families who are new to the school may not know that the purpose of the chaplaincy program is to offer support to members of the school community, including staff, students, parents and carers. Primarily a pastoral care role, I use my counselling skills to assist children and adults with life’s many challenges including such things as anxiety, self-esteem, family, friendship, social skills, grief and loss, school issues and more. When seeking pastoral care services for your child, parents are required to sign a consent form. This year I am employed at the school three days a fortnight, being every Thursday and fortnightly on Fridays. If you have questions about the chaplaincy program and the support being offered to our school community, please do not hesitate to ask.  Thank you.
