Kildare Catholic College Twilight Swimming Carnival

Benedicta - Back to Back Swimming House Champions

Thursday’s twilight swimming carnival was a huge success with strong participation from all houses and students. The afternoon started with lots of energy as our traditional ‘fashions on the field’ parade began. This vocal beginning flowed right through to the relays which are always one of the highlights of the carnival.

There were some very impressive swimmers lighting up the pool this year with 15 broken records. New students Millie McKenzie (12 Years girls) smashed records in all the 50m events and Lillian Holtorf (15 Years girls) broke all three Freestyle records - 50m, 100m & 200m.

The Stephens sisters (Georgie and Bridget) and the Mooney siblings (Isaac and Ella) again dominated and all swam impressive times in all events they entered.

Well done to all our swimmers on your participation and efforts for the night. Thanks to Wagga Wagga Swim Club for their assistance and to all the staff and students for their work in ensuring a smooth running carnival.

Congratulations again Benedicta House - A very impressive win by 180 Points.
