Caritas Guest Speaker

Suzy McIntyre

On Tuesday Suzy McIntyre who is the Caritas Australia - Program Coordinator, Global Programs and Partnerships Humanitarian Emergencies Group, met with our Year 11 Studies in Catholic Thought students to heighten their awareness of humanitarian programs that Caritas Australia are involved with currently.

Suzy has worked with Caritas Australia in this role for the past 7 years. She has coordinated various national and international emergency responses including programs in Afghanistan, Lebanon, Jordan, Gaza, Papua New Guinea and West Africa. Suzy’s conversations with our students connected with their current curriculum focus as well as the with our school wide community service focus of Project Compassion.

All students are able to be involved with Project Compassion through Coaching each morning. This is a community focus as we prepare for the season of Easter.
