Special Ministers Course

To ensure that our College Eucharistic celebrations allow for student participation, Year 10 students nominated themselves to train as a Special Minister of the Eucharist alongside students from Mercy College. Under the leadership of Mr Adrian Brannan, the students spent Tuesday learning about the Catholic teachings related to consecration and Eucharistic celebrations. There was an opportunity for students to learn from Fr. Jim related to the distribution of consecrated hosts, as well as the precious blood from the chalice.

The day concluded with students from both Mercy and St Pius X College celebrating Mass in the College Chapel. We look forward to our Year 10 students being involved in future school liturgical celebrations or their parish.  The SPX boys who completed the course are named below:

James Bellenger, Joel Chand, Liam Chang, Ben Christensen, Jamie Corcoran, Douglas Daniels, Ben Giles, Liam Kinna, Lucas Makarwicz, Luke Massa, Lachlan Onslow, William Thomson, Thomas Van Dijk, Nicholas Ward and Matthew Watts.
