Regionals Swim Report by Amy Costello

On Wednesday March the 2nd I went down to Shepparton Aqua Moves for Regional Swim Carnival. I was swimming in the 11yr old girls 50 Metre breaststroke race. I was very nervous but I was excited as well. When it was about to be my race, my tummy was filled with butterflies. When it was finally my turn to swim, I stepped up onto the starting block and the whistle blew. I dived straight into the water. I was in the lead for nearly the whole race but got too puffed so I started to lose my speed. I still kept on swimming until finally, I touched the end of the pool and came 4th. I was so happy that when I came out I squealed with excitement. I’d like to thank my mum who has supported me all through my swimming.
