The year 7 girls softball team defeated Parkdale to win the Kingston Division. 

They will participate in the Southern Metropolitan finals next term. 

The team was coached by Isabella, a year 10 student who was completing a Sports Coaching elective. 

I had the pleasure of attending the Senior Boys Futsal Round Robin. They brought their own Bluetooth speaker and sang songs all the way to Springvale Indoor.

Our A team of Aston, Aidan, Nic, Isaac , Nils and Ben who worked hard all day, earning praise from the refs and other coaches for their skills – particularly their passing.

The game was 0-0 at half time. In the 2nd half the boys weren’t out-skilled but probably out-muscled by Bentleigh’s year 12 players (our team is all year 11). 

The A Team finished a respectful 3rd and look good for 2023.

Our heroic B team Clyde, Justin, Sean, Rakesh and Andreas had no subs for the day due to absent players and finished equal 1st with Mckinnon B. 

The attitude of all these boys was exemplary and their camaraderie and sporting spirit with the other schools was great to see. And they sang all the way back to school!
