COLLINGWOOD - BEEHIVE CRAFT GROUP
This Friday morning we are making the Owl and the Pussycat in a beautiful pea green boat. And finishing off forgotten projects. Only 3 more craft groups until Spring Fair!
Next Friday, 22nd September we will be dressing peg dolls for Mrs Pockets with Class 1 families - painting, glueing, some sewing. A low key social morning, come along!
Take home craft kits are available for hand-sewers of all skill levels at the front office. Take one (or more) home for the holidays?
Or please bring in a donation of something you have made at home, with love, to help support the school and showcase our talented community.
Please get in touch beehivecraftgroup@gmail.com or Lauren on 0422133655 if you can help. Thank you 💖

Children are invited to let their imaginations flourish at the Abbotsford Convent this Spring, as our stunning gardens are brought to life with award-winning children’s authors and illustrators through The Grand Imaginarium – Your Story Garden: a series of exciting book making workshops.
Followed by a magical tour, the kids will work with award winning writers and illustrators to write and create their very own book to take home!
A collection of the children’s stories and illustrations will be weaved together to create a story-trail around the Convent, for other visitors to enjoy.

ALPHINGTON FREE FIREWORKS DISPLAY
Alphington Football Club is a not for profit organisation (soccer club). Our home ground is at Alphington Park, Alphington and every year we put on a free firework display and invite the local community to join us. This year we will be running this event on Friday 22 September which coincides with the end of the state school term. The fireworks are put on by Howard & Sons Pyrotechnics (http://www.howardsfireworks.com.au/) who are a very highly regarded pyrotechnic company. The display is truly amazing and it is absolutely free. Admittedly, we do sell sausages, run a bar and, for the first time ever, there will be a silent auction. However, there is no obligation for families to purchase anything.
We hope you and your school community can join us to see the end of term 3 out with a blast!
Regards
Elaine McPartlin
