PASS STUDENTS HAVE A BALL WITH STAGE 2
Physical Activity and Sports Studies (PASS) represents a broad view of physical activity and the many possible contexts in which individuals can build activity into their lifestyle. As part of our Year 9/10 elective course, students have been addressing the required area of study, Enhancing Participation and Performance.
In Week 6, PASS students put their skills and knowledge to the test, running a fundamental skills workshop for the Stage 2 (Year 3 & 4) students. The class used direct instruction and applied the game sense approach to develop sessions that concentrated on kicking, catching, throwing, shooting, hitting and passing. On Wednesday Week 7, the Stage 2 students applied these fundamental skills to modified games of Cricket, T-ball and AFL.
Congratulations to all the participants for their fantastic effort, enthusiasm and sportsmanship. A big thank you to all the PASS students for their ability to organise, coach and administer the sessions. They displayed excellent event management skills and should be proud of their achievements.
