Swimming Awareness

Primary Science Day with Mrs Libby Smith

Sixteen children from Stage Two and Stage Three were lucky to spend half a day each with Mrs Libby Smith, one of our Secondary Science teachers, for a fun Science activities day.

Mrs Smith focussed on working with energy: heating and cooling, convection and conduction, insulation and reflected heat. The activities involved using thermometers, beakers, stopwatches and the Bunsen burner. The children learnt how science is a part of everyday life and did some brainstorming, practical work and problem solving.

The children had a wonderful time. Thank you to Mrs Smith for this exciting opportunity.
