Oakleigh Grammar went RED on Friday 16 June!

Rose Middle School House Captains worked together with the Middle School Captains and the Middle School Student Wellbeing Leaders and Middle School Life and Culture Leaders and organised an amazing Red Nose Day.

Red Nose Day is the “SIDS and Kids” major annual fundraiser, with all funds raised going towards providing vital services and programs to the Australian community. Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) is the sudden, unexplained death of a newborn child during sleep. Death usually occurs in the early hours of the morning and there is no noise or evidence of a struggle. SIDS and Kids is also dedicated to saving the lives of babies and children during pregnancy, birth, infancy and childhood and their areas of focus include education, research, national awareness campaigning, advocacy and fundraising.

On Friday 16 June, students and staff came to school in comfortable casual clothes waring an element of red to highlight the importance of this worthwhile charity.  Each student donated $2.00 for the casual day.  Alternatively, ELC and Junior school students were able to pay $3.00 to receive a red nose.

Middle School Leaders put together a Cake Stall for all Middle and Senior School students selling yummy sweets!

Congratulations to all students who took part in our annual Red Nose Day event!
