Dear Parents

As our second term draws to a close, I reflect on the array of achievements and experiences for our students and am humbled by same.

There have been many highlights during the course of this term, with unparalleled sporting success in the National Schools Event, EISM and Bentleigh District competitions.  Hot off the press was the achievement of our Bentleigh District girls’ and boys’ soccer being finalists, with our Year 5 / 6 boys going on to be crowned champions in this competition.  The Soccer Academy has been highly successful with great interest from our Year 6 and 7 students, and I am pleased to advise that the Academy will continue into next term.

When our students return to school in term three, our new Cafeteria is likely to be completed, which will allow our students the option of eating their lunch indoors in the refreshed 9Ways / Arrowsmith space.  The current canteen will be decommissioned and we are currently planning the best use of this space.  I am delighted to advise that it is intended that provision will be made for parents to access the Cafeteria for a coffee after morning drop off.  This will be a student free zone until 9am in the morning to allow parents an opportunity to catch up with each other.  After 9am the Cafeteria will be closed to parents, to allow for normal school operational use.  A confirmation email will be provided to all parents advising when the Cafeteria will be open.

We are thrilled with the response to the expression of interest for students to tour Greece in 2024.  Over fifty responses have been received from students in Years 9, 10 and 11 in 2024.  Further information will be provided to families later in the year.
