Italian
All the Italian classes have had a fantastic start to the year during term 1.
Foundation
Through storytelling and educational activities, Prep students in Term 1 have grown more comfortable speaking and listening to Italian. Preps utilised certain rhythmic beats to perform short chants and songs to practice their language abilities and to learn to count to 10 in Italian.
Grades One and Two
During term 1, students in grades One and Two have continued to use greetings and ask and respond to questions about themselves using appropriate pronunciation, and students have begun reading and writing adjectives. In addition, they have been learning to count to twenty in Italian.
Grades Three and Four
Grades Three and Four have continued to take part in a range of activities throughout Term 1. Working in small groups and participating in role plays, students have improved their comprehension and conversational abilities in Italian. They also practiced their greetings and basic conversational skills in Italian.
Grades Five and Six
Throughout Term 1, Grades five and six have continued to participate in a variety of activities. Students' cognitive and conversational Italian skills have improved as a result of working in small groups and taking part in role plays. Also, they worked on their greetings and fundamental conversational abilities in Italian.
