Welcome back to a new term in the MGC International Student Program!  We have 8 new international students joining our community this term. They are from China, Vietnam, Korea, and Germany. We are excited to see our group is growing and becoming more diverse.

On 3rd March, we had our Term 1 welcome party to introduce the new students and welcome other students back to school. We had pizza and refreshments, which helped break the ice among the students. We are surprised by how quickly students started bonding. Some students left the party with new friends and were excited to work together for the upcoming Harmony Day.

The highlight of the event was our guest speaker, Emilia Fields, the Founder of Fields International Education Consulting. She shared her own experience as an international student and encouraged them to be brave and speak up for the community.  Students were inspired and volunteered to sign up for the upcoming 2023 International Student Voice Project. They are eager to promote cultural awareness, make connections and sustain global learning. We are looking forward to seeing them in the upcoming forums.

Stay tuned for more exciting events and projects throughout the semester.
