Drama Pathway Opportunities

Calling all students who are interested in learning more about some exciting pathways and opportunities for students interested in performance, acting and drama, to work with industry professional performers in workshops, auditions and performances! 

The 2023 Brisbane Performing Arts Challenge (BPAC) may nominate by April 1 for the Intermediate section (ages 12-14) or Senior section (Ages 15-19). The next stage is preparing and submitting a video audition of two styles of contrasting monologues for the Intermediate section and two styles of monologues (Contemporary and Period style)  for the Senior section.  Students attend scholarship classes and at the conclusion of the classes a maximum of 20 Semi-Finalists will be selected for each age group. At the conclusion of the Semi-Finals, a maximum of 8 Finalists will be selected for each age group. 

At the conclusion of the Finals, the Judge may award a Scholarship Winner; a Scholarship Runner-Up and an Encouragement Award recipient. The organisation awards a bursary of $1000 for the Winner and $500 for runners-up, respectively for Seniors and $500 and $250 for Intermediate and more. This bursary is to be used for education and training in performance.    This opportunity is a real-world pathway and networking for students interested in drama and performance.  Other performance arts in dance and musical theatre are also offered by this organisation.
