Principal's Report

Hi Everyone,

2.30pm finish on the last day of school

Just a reminder that the end of this term is drawing closer. The term ends on a Thursday as this year we go right up to Good Friday. Don't forget that the last day of School has a 2.30pm finish.

On the last day of school a smaller newsletter will go home with as many Term 2 dates for your calendars as we can muster.

Easter Activities

On the last day of School we will be celebrating Easter with some activities.

We would like students to begin bringing along coins for the last day of school. The coins will be kept in class groupings so that during some of our activities we can mathematically measure, count and compare our piles with the other classes. The coin collection will be tallied up at the end of the activities with the final amount going to the  Royal Children's Hospital Good Friday Appeal. 

Just before home time there will be an assembly. At assembly the Easter raffle is drawn and the rules are laid out for the Egg hunt. As in the past there will be eggs hidden around the school for our students to find. I hope everyone has their raffle tickets in the draw. Good luck!

CWA presentation

Anita from Woodend CWA dropped by to see what we have been doing with our library. The CWA have been supporting Newham Primary School with the purchase of books. Harvey & Iris on behalf of our students, were pleased to represent our school in recognising CWA support. We Thank Anita and the CWA.
