Should you have any questions please direct them to Sandra.barry@endeavour.sa.edu.au .

Please support your child at home by ensuring that they have:

  • enough sleep,
  • a good breakfast
  • are at school on time
  • all of their equipment, including a charged laptop.

It is also important to remember that the testing needs to be kept in perspective; NAPLAN measures what students can do in a series of literacy and numeracy tests for a total of three hours every two years. It does not test their care for others, their respect for the environment, their perseverance, their integrity, the way they love others or even the way they participate in class. These are all important qualities that we value and aim to develop in students throughout their time here.  These qualities are not tested by equally as valuable.

Endeavour College will be completing NAPLAN online this year. Should students wish to undertake more practices, they should make use of the ACARA public demonstration website.

Should you have any questions then please do not hesitate to ask.

Share Your Career

Share-Your-Career Days

One of my great joys is seeing students take on new initiatives. These Share–Your-Career sessions are a product of a Student Forum that was held last year.  Students were asked to consider areas in our College and suggest what actions they could take to make improvements. Two students have since put a proposal to the Learning Leaders and the Management Team who have agreed to support these fully student-lead and organised sessions. If you are able to support them in any way please contact me at the College (sandra.barry@endeavour.sa.edu.au or 83683311) and I will pass on your details. Thank you in advance for your involvement!

Share-Your-Career Days

Endeavour is looking for volunteers who would be willing to dedicate approximately one hour of their time during a school day to offer Year 10 students a real-world insight into the ways in which school subjects are applied in a variety of careers. If you use any aspect of any of our subjects such as Geography or History or Mathematics or Science or Languages or Art/Design or Health and Physical Education, then we need you! This new initiative sees volunteers from a range of careers, speaking to the Year 10 cohort or smaller groups, giving a basic outline of how they use a particular subject in their day-to-day work life.  Part of the talk could also share their own subject choices in Year 10 and the process they took to get into the career.

If you are willing to offer your time or know someone who might, we would love if you could contact the school. Talking about your experiences will help us and our peers learn more about where they could go in the future as well as offering great insight into pathways that students may not have encountered before. Thank you for considering this.
