SUCCESS STORIES

JOURNEY TO THE BASEBALL WORLD TITLES!
Josh Meyer (Year 10) team started preparing back in October 2015 for the State Baseball Championships in Geelong in January and with victory there the team moved to Queensland for the nationals which were held in May. They were undefeated in the tournament and won the final 6-0 which meant they were the best team to represent Australia to play in the Philippines to try to qualify for the World Series.
In sweltering 40 degree heat in the Philippines, the team won matches over the Philippines, Mariana Islands, Indonesia and Guam and qualified to play in the World Series in the USA starting on 31st July.
In the World Series the team will play against Canada, Japan, Spain and Latin America as well as six teams from different regions of the USA.
What a wonderful achievement Josh and we wish you every success in the upcoming Series!
