Tomorrow's Tea & Tissues
The College invites parents of kinder students starting on Thursday or Friday and other parents to join us for our Tea & Tissues event tomorrow (Thursday) from 8:30am in the café/foyer area of the church. This is a chance to console each other (or celebrate our children returning to school) as we get to know our parent community. Tea and coffee are free, as are the tissues.

The secondary camp time is fast approaching. It will be a great opportunity for students to spend time together, participate in team activities, receive spiritual input, and develop relationships. The Grade 9 Camp will be at the Maria Island Campground, Darlington. The Grade 10 Camp will be at Camp Clayton in Turners Beach near Devonport. Forms have been emailed to parents and a hard copy has been sent home today.
Forms are due back this Friday 7th February.
Student Exchange
This year we are continuing our regular student exchanges with Penabur Christian School in Indonesia. In early term 3, students from SCC will be visiting their school and we, in turn, are receiving a visit from a group of their grade 8s from 22nd-30th March.
As in previous years, we will be looking for hosts and hostesses to provide a loving Australian home environment for the week for two boys or two girls. This is a great opportunity to show hospitality to the stranger amongst us and to learn about their culture and language (their English is generally very good).
If you are interested, please contact Mr Scott Ambrose (scott.ambrose@scc.tas.edu.au) or Mrs Linda Van Coller (linda.vancoller@scc.tas.edu.au) who is assisting with the organisation of billets this year.
Assemblies
Assemblies are held fortnightly on a TUESDAY morning at 9am in the Auditorium. The whole school joined together for a full school assembly this morning and the next full school assembly will be held on Tuesday 25th February at 9am.
